These terms cover your use of PrivLedge specifically and supplement the company-wide happynikky Terms and Conditions.
Licensed Application End User License Agreement
PrivLedge is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), except where superseded by these terms or the happynikky Terms and Conditions.
Permitted Use
You may use PrivLedge on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules. PrivLedge is provided for your personal, non-commercial use in organising and reviewing your own financial records.
Not Financial, Tax, or Accounting Advice
PrivLedge is a tool that helps you import, organise, categorise, and reconcile your own bank-statement data and prepare summaries. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and its outputs — including category suggestions, reconciliation results, and tax-report summaries — are aids, not professional advice or an official filing.
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all figures and for your own tax and financial decisions and filings. For advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified professional. PrivLedge is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Income Tax Department, any government authority, or any bank.
Accuracy of Imported Data
Automatic parsing and categorisation of statements may contain errors or omissions, particularly with unusual statement formats. You should review imported transactions and balances against your original statements before relying on them.
Tax Figures Are Estimates, Not a Computation of Your Liability
Any tax figure PrivLedge shows you — taxable income, an estimated liability, a projection, an advance-tax instalment, or any report total — is an estimate produced from the data you have put into the app. It is not a computation of your actual tax liability, not a tax return, and not tax, legal, or accounting advice.
These figures are calculated only from the transactions in the statements you have imported, and only to the extent those transactions have been categorised. PrivLedge has no view of the rest of your financial life. In particular, it does not know about:
- Accounts, cards, or statements you have not imported
- Transactions left uncategorised, or categorised incorrectly — including suggestions from the on-device classifier that you have not reviewed
- Income that does not pass through the accounts you imported — cash, capital gains, interest, dividends, rent, foreign income, or income reported by a payer directly
- Deductions, exemptions, allowances, losses carried forward, tax already deducted at source, and taxes already paid
- Your regime, residency status, filing status, and any other circumstance that changes how a figure is treated
The app also applies tax rules and rates as understood at the time of its release. Rules change, are applied differently to different taxpayers, and may be interpreted differently by the authorities. PrivLedge does not guarantee that any figure it produces is accurate, current, complete, or correct for your situation.
Do not file, pay, or make a financial decision on the basis of a PrivLedge figure alone. Verify it against your own records and have it reviewed by a qualified tax professional. You remain solely responsible for your returns, your payments, and any interest, penalty, or other consequence arising from them.
Your Data
PrivLedge processes your data on your device, with optional sync through your own private iCloud account. You are responsible for the statement files you import. For details on how your data is handled, see our privacy policy.
General Terms
Matters not addressed here — including in-app purchases, disclaimers of warranties, limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution — are governed by the happynikky Terms and Conditions, which apply to all our apps.
